I run four community singing groups in Norwich and North Norfolk that are currently open to anyone who would like to come.  The groups, called 'Sing for Joy!'  are run under the guidelines of   The Natural Voice Practitioners Network, of which I am a member.

 There are no auditions and anyone is welcome regardless of ability.

The singing groups meet in Binham on Monday evenings, Norwich on Tuesday lunch times, Cromer on Thursday mornings and Gresham on Thursday evenings, to sing songs and chants from around the world. 

I teach the songs aurally so there is no need for you to read music.  You and your voice are accepted no matter how large or small it is.

I also lead  a monthly Sunday afternoon group, with the help of my good friend Chris Yeomans, called 'With all my Heart'.  We sing with the intention of connecting with the deeper spiritual part of ourselves, those we sing with and the wider universe.  We choose venues that have something special about them and we include a walk when possible.

I am delighted to have started a men only group with a view to exploring the different 'energy' that this creates, especially as it provides the chance for some guys to get to sing the tune!  The first meeting was a great success and we plan to meet on a monthly basis, currently at The Friends Meeting House in Aylsham.  Do contact me if you'd like to join.

I also give individual lessons, either to increase your confidence in singing or to find a way of expressing your emotions through voice work.  I am able to offer this at my home in Gresham and in Norwich.  Contact me for more information.

to give a days workshop entitled

IN OUR DIFFERENT RHYTHMS TOGETHER

On 31st July at Friends' Meeting House, Norwich.

We will explore all the different aspects of rhythm, both metric and non-metric, using our bodies and our voices; both individually and together.  Maggie is hugely experienced in this and has had a life-time of experimenting with all types of vocal and non-vocal sound.  She lives in Wales so this is a rare and golden opportunity to work with her in Norfolk.
