NORTH NORFOLK’S COMMUNITY SINGING GROUPS

The concept of Community Choir has become incredibly popular.  Much more so in recent years, particularly after the likes of Gareth Malone's series The Choir, and more recently Rock Opera, on television.  Now it seems that everyone wants to become involved, Hooray I say!

My four groups are independent of each other but some people choose to belong to more than one and change between them when life gets complicated.

BINHAM group meets on Monday evenings, usually in the Memorial Hall, but at least once a term we have a treat and go across to the Priory.  The acoustics here are second to none and we always feel really wonderful afterwards.   We have sung several concerts here.

The NORWICH group meets in the Northex, attached to the Catholic Cathedral, at 12.15pm.

The SHERINGHAM group meets in Oddfellows Hall on Tuesday evenings.

The CROMER group meets in the Community Centre on Garden Street at 10.30am and we sometimes go swimming on the beach (well some of us do!) with a picnic in the summer.
